Beach Bum Tanning & Airbrush Salon in New York invites energetic, customer-focused individuals to join as Tanning Consultants. Represent our brand, guide clients through tanning options, and help each guest achieve their ideal glow while delivering exceptional service.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• At least 18 years old.
• Strong verbal and written communication.
• Experience in customer service or sales preferred.
• Able to work evenings, weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Welcoming clients and creating a warm, inviting atmosphere.
• Evaluating clients' tanning needs and recommending equipment/products.
• Explaining the tanning process and answering questions.
• Keeping rooms and areas clean and stocked.
• Selling lotions and retail products based on client needs.
• Meeting or surpassing sales goals while delivering excellent service.
• Building client relationships and encouraging repeat visits.
• Maintaining accurate client records and tanning history.
• Opening and closing the salon according to standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Welcoming clients and creating a warm, inviting atmosphere from the moment they arrive
• Evaluating skin types and recommending the most suitable tanning equipment, products, and safety guidelines
• Explaining the tanning process clearly, answering questions, and ensuring clients feel comfortable and informed
• Keeping tanning rooms and common areas clean, organized, and fully stocked
• Recommending and selling lotions and retail products based on client needs
• Consistently meeting or surpassing sales goals while maintaining excellent customer service
• Building strong client relationships and encouraging repeat visits
• Maintaining accurate client records, including preferences and tanning history
• Opening and closing the salon according to company standards

• Comfortable standing, bending, and being on their feet for extended periods
