Job summary

Beach Bum Tanning & Airbrush Salon in Eatontown, New Jersey, is hiring Tanning Consultants to guide clients through tanning options and help them achieve their ideal glow.

The role focuses on sales and customer service in a fast-paced, friendly environment, with both full-time and part-time positions available. You will welcome clients, explain processes, and maintain clean, well-stocked tanning rooms.

Qualifications

• Positive, outgoing, and passionate about tanning and beauty.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• At least 18 years old.
• Strong verbal and written communication.
• Experience in customer service or sales preferred.
• Able to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
• Comfortable standing for extended periods.

Responsibilities

• Welcoming clients and creating a warm, inviting atmosphere.
• Evaluating skin types and recommending tanning equipment and products.
• Explaining the tanning process and answering questions.
• Keeping rooms and common areas clean and stocked.
• Recommending and selling lotions and retail products.
• Meeting or surpassing sales goals while delivering excellent service.
• Building client relationships and encouraging repeat visits.
• Maintaining accurate client records.
• Opening and closing the salon per company standards.

Key Responsibilities

Your daily responsibilities may include:

• Welcoming clients and creating a warm, inviting atmosphere from the moment they arrive
• Evaluating skin types and recommending the most suitable tanning equipment, products, and safety guidelines
• Explaining the tanning process clearly, answering questions, and ensuring clients feel comfortable and informed
• Keeping tanning rooms and common areas clean, organized, and fully stocked
• Recommending and selling lotions and retail products based on client needs
• Consistently meeting or surpassing sales goals while maintaining excellent customer service
• Building strong client relationships and encouraging repeat visits
• Maintaining accurate client records, including preferences and tanning history
• Opening and closing the salon according to company standards
