Beach Bum Tanning & Airbrush Salon is seeking friendly, motivated Tanning Consultants to guide clients through tanning options and help them look and feel their best.

Join a fast-paced, customer-focused team in New York. Open to full-time and part-time roles with opportunities for advancement, a supportive work environment, and benefits. Evening/weekend shifts required.

Qualifications

• Positive, outgoing, and passionate about the tanning and beauty industry.
• High school graduates (or equivalent).
• At least 18 years old.
• Strong communicators, both verbally and in writing.
• Experienced in customer service or sales (preferred).
• Able to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
• Comfortable standing, bending, and being on their feet for extended periods.

Responsibilities

• Welcoming clients and creating a warm, inviting atmosphere from the moment they arrive.
• Evaluating skin types and recommending the most suitable tanning equipment, products, and safety guidelines.
• Explaining the tanning process clearly, answering questions, and ensuring clients feel comfortable and informed.
• Keeping tanning rooms and common areas clean, organized, and fully stocked.
• Recommending and selling lotions and retail products based on client needs.
• Consistently meeting or surpassing sales goals while maintaining excellent customer service.
• Building strong client relationships and encouraging repeat visits.
• Maintaining accurate client records, including preferences and tanning history.
• Opening and closing the salon according to company standards.
