Beach Bum Tanning & Airbrush Salon in New York is seeking friendly tanning consultants to guide clients through options and support their glow goals. You will represent our brand, ensure a welcoming experience, and drive sales while delivering personalized recommendations.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• At least 18 years old.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Experience in sales or beauty industry preferred.
• Willing to work evenings, weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Welcoming clients and creating a warm atmosphere from arrival
• Evaluating skin types and recommending tanning options
• Explaining tanning process and answering questions
• Keeping rooms and areas clean and stocked
• Recommending and selling lotions and retail products
• Meeting or exceeding sales goals while delivering great service
• Building client relationships and encouraging repeat visits
• Maintaining accurate client records and tanning history
• Opening and closing the salon per company standards
• Completing daily inventory reports

Key Responsibilities

Your daily responsibilities may include:

• Welcoming clients and creating a warm, inviting atmosphere from the moment they arrive
• Evaluating skin types and recommending the most suitable tanning equipment, products, and safety guidelines
• Explaining the tanning process clearly, answering questions, and ensuring clients feel comfortable and informed
• Keeping tanning rooms and common areas clean, organized, and fully stocked
• Recommending and selling lotions and retail products based on client needs
• Consistently meeting or surpassing sales goals while maintaining excellent customer service
• Building strong client relationships and encouraging repeat visits
• Maintaining accurate client records, including preferences and tanning history
• Opening and closing the salon according to company standards
• Completing daily inventory reports

• Positive, outgoing, and passionate about the tanning and beauty industry
• High school graduates (or equivalent)
• At least 18 years old
• Strong communicators, both verbally and in writing
• Experienced in customer service or sales (preferred)
• Able to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
• Comfortable standing, bending, and being on their feet for extended periods
