Depot Connect International in Bakersfield, CA is seeking a DOT inspection certified mechanic with 2-5+ years of experience. Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Diagnose failures and perform repairs on mechanical, electrical, or other systems on tank trailers.
• Perform tank service and repair tasks and trailer suspension installation/repair.
• Work on air brake systems and related components.
• Weld (TIG) aluminum, stainless, or carbon as needed (optional).
• Inspect tanks and trailers to ensure compliance with DOT standards.

We are currently searching for DOT inspection certified mechanic with 2-5+ years of experience. This is for our Bakersfield, CA location!

Shift Hours: Monday through Friday, 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM

Pay Range: $27.00 to $41.00 per hour, dependent on experience.

Skill-based pay rate reviews and potential increases every 6 months.

Demonstrated skill in most of the following areas:

• The ability to diagnose failures and make repairs on mechanical, electrical or other various systems on a tank trailer.
• Tank service and repair
• Trailer suspension installation and repair
• Experience with air brake systems and repairs
• TIG aluminum, stainless or carbon welding experience (optional)
• Ability to effectively and efficiently inspect tanks and trailers to align with DOT standards (HM183, hazmat)

Physical Demands:

• The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
• With assistance, occasionally lift and/or move up to 75 pounds
• Must be able to fit through a tank trailer manhole
• Must be able to work in confined spaces
