Job summary
Depot Connect International (DCI) is hiring mechanics with tank trailer repair experience for our Geismar, LA location. The role involves diagnosing failures, performing tank service and suspension work, and repairing air brake systems. TIG welding is optional, with HM183/hazmat inspection awareness highly preferred.
Shift: Mon–Fri 7:00 AM–3:30 PM. Pay ranges from $15.00 to $35.00 per hour, depending on experience, with periodic reviews.
Qualifications
- Demonstrated skill in diagnosing failures and repairing mechanical or electrical systems on tank trailers.
- Experience with tank service and trailer suspension installation and repair.
- Experience with air brake systems and repairs.
- TIG welding experience (aluminum, stainless, or carbon) is optional.
- Ability to inspect tanks and trailers for DOT HM183/hazmat standards is highly preferred.
Responsibilities
- Diagnose failures and perform repairs on mechanical or electrical systems on a tank trailer.
- Carry out tank service and repair tasks and trailer suspension work.
- Repair air brake systems and related components.
- Optionally TIG weld aluminum, stainless, or carbon as needed.
- Inspect tanks and trailers to align with DOT HM183 and hazmat standards.

Monday through Friday, 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM
$15.00 to $35.00 per hour, dependent on experience.
Skill-based pay rate reviews and potential increases every 6 months.
- The ability to diagnose failures and make repairs on mechanical, electrical or other various systems on a tank trailer.
- Tank service and repair
- Trailer suspension installation and repair
- Experience with air brake systems and repairs
- TIG aluminum, stainless or carbon welding experience (optional)
- Ability to effectively and efficiently inspect tanks and trailers to align with DOT standards (HM183, hazmat)- Highly preferred
- The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
- With assistance, occasionally lift and/or move up to 75 pounds
- Must be able to fit through a tank trailer manhole
- Must be able to work in confined spaces
