Job summary

Depot Connect International is hiring mechanics with tank trailer repair experience for our Geismar, LA location. Shifts are Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM–3:30 PM. Compensation ranges from $15.00 to $35.00 per hour, depending on experience, with skill-based pay reviews every 6 months.

HM-183 inspectors are highly preferred. Role requires diagnosing failures, performing tank service/repair, and working with air brake systems; TIG welding is optional.

Qualifications

• Diagnostics on mechanical/electrical systems of tank trailers.
• Tank service and repair expertise.
• Trailer suspension installation and repair.
• Experience with air brake systems and repairs.
• TIG welding experience (optional).
• Ability to inspect tanks/trailers to DOT HM183 hazmat standards.

We are currently searching for mechanics with tank trailer repair experience at our Geismar, LA location! HM-183 Registered Inspectors is highly preferred.

Shift Hours:

Monday through Friday, 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM

Pay Range:

$15.00 to $35.00 per hour, dependent on experience.

Skill-based pay rate reviews and potential increases every 6 months.

Demonstrated skill in most of the following areas:

• The ability to diagnose failures and make repairs on mechanical, electrical or other various systems on a tank trailer.
• Tank service and repair
• Trailer suspension installation and repair
• Experience with air brake systems and repairs
• TIG aluminum, stainless or carbon welding experience (optional)
• Ability to effectively and efficiently inspect tanks and trailers to align with DOT standards (HM183, hazmat)- Highly preferred

Physical Demands:

• The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
• With assistance, occasionally lift and/or move up to 75 pounds
• Must be able to fit through a tank trailer manhole
• Must be able to work in confined spaces
