Job summary

Phillips Tank & Structure (PTS) is hiring a full-time Tank Builder / Welder for nationwide projects. You will join a team fabricating above-ground storage tanks and related structures, performing welding, cutting, and assembly on tanks across multiple sites.

The role emphasizes safety, attention to detail, and collaboration with crew members. Candidates should have welding experience, be physically capable, and willing to undergo background and drug testing.

Qualifications

• Must have strong communication and problem-solving skills.
• Reliable attendance and willingness to learn.
• Age 18+, able to lift 50 lbs and meet physical requirements.
• High School Diploma or equivalent; eligible to work in the United States.
• Willing to undergo background checks and motor vehicle record checks.
• Valid driver's license; willingness to undergo pre-hire drug testing.

Responsibilities

• Perform arc and torch cutting, gouging, and welding per specifications.
• Operate power tools, generators, grinders, and lifting equipment.
• Weld tanks using SMAW, FCAW, and submerged arc methods per codes.
• Read erection and fabrication drawings and plan tie-ins and fitting sequences.
• Ensure job safety analyses, site training, and safety audits are completed.
