Job summary

Opaa! Food Management, Inc. is seeking on-call kitchen staff to assist with daily food preparation and service across multiple locations.

You will help set up serving lines, prepare items per the menu, and ensure food safety temperatures and presentation meet standards. Responsibilities include operating basic kitchen equipment, maintaining clean work areas, adhering to FIFO inventory practices, and assisting with daily cash handling and reporting as needed.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED, preferred; or up to one month related experience, training or equivalent combination of education and experience
• Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos; able to write simple correspondence
• Basic math skills: add, subtract, multiply, divide; interpret measurements

Responsibilities

• Assist with set-up of serving lines and ensure food is held at proper temperatures
• Assist in preparation of foods per menu plan and Opaa! recipes; plan ahead for next day menus
• Operate slicers, mixers, grinders, and other equipment with proper certification
• Maintain clean, organized work areas and kitchen/cafeteria spaces
• Follow HACCP processes and maintain daily production records
• Prepare baked goods as required by the menu plan; present to customers
• Manage inventory via FIFO; restock as needed and keep cooler/storage areas clean
• Handle customer monies and run a cash register as required
• Complete daily paperwork, tray counts, and meal reconciliations
