Job summary

Greenberg Traurig, LLP is seeking a Talent Services Operations Specialist to join the Human Resource Team in New Jersey or Miramar. You will analyze background reports for new hires, ensuring accuracy and compliance with FCRA and data-protection laws, while collaborating with the Director and Operations Manager.

The role supports remote or hybrid work with some in-office presence for meetings, training, and relationship building.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree or equivalent in Legal, HR, or related field preferred.
• 5 years' experience in Legal, Research, Law Enforcement, Labor Relations, or Human Resources in a large or medium-size organization.
• SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Processes and reviews background reports under federal/state reporting guidelines and standards.
• Reviews CVs, applications, transcripts against background reports for accuracy and completeness.
• Identifies discrepancies or gaps; coordinates with team for verification.
• Communicates with offices/recruiters to obtain missing information or clarify details.
• Reviews references; may contact references to verify employment history.
• Documents and prepares a thorough findings report and provides it to managers for decisions.
• Ensures accurate and prompt turnaround on all reports; conducts necessary research.
• Provides timely follow-ups and escalates as needed throughout screening process.
• Maintains accurate records and logs; files correspondences.
• Monitors status of background checks and follows up with offices as required.
