Greenberg Traurig, LLP is seeking a Talent Services Operations Specialist to analyze background reports for new hires and process client background check requests. The role partners with leadership to ensure compliance with FCRA and data protection laws while maintaining strict confidentiality and high service levels.

The position offers remote or hybrid work arrangements, with some in-office duties for meetings and training.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Legal, HR, or related field.
• 5 years' experience in Legal, Research, HR in a large/medium organization.
• Solid understanding of labor law and industry practices.

Responsibilities

• Analyze background reports under federal/state guidelines.
• Review CVs, applications, transcripts against reports for accuracy.
• Identify discrepancies and liaise to verify facts.
• Communicate with recruiters to obtain missing information.
• Review references and verify employment history as needed.
• Prepare reports and provide summaries to leadership for decisions.
• Ensure prompt turnaround and conduct necessary research.
• Maintain records and logs of background checks.
• Track status of background checks and follow up with offices.
• Handle international, client, and vendor background checks as needed.
• Submit/verify education and license verifications in Workday.
• Apply knowledge of regulations to pre-adverse/adverse actions.
• Support other departmental activities as needed.
