Job summary

Greenberg Traurig (GT) is seeking a Talent Services Operations Specialist to analyze and process background checks for new hires. You will work with the Director of Talent Service Operations to ensure compliance under FCRA and data protection laws, while maintaining strict confidentiality.

The role supports domestic and international checks, reports to the Talent Services Operations Manager, and offers a remote or hybrid work arrangement with occasional in-office collaboration and training.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience in Legal, Research, Human Resources, or related field preferred.
• 5 years’ experience in Legal, Research, Law Enforcement, Labor Relations, or Human Resources in a large or medium-size organization.
• Thorough understanding of labor law, industry practices and social policies that may be pertinent to the business.
• SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Processes and reviews background reports under federal/state reporting guidelines and standards.
• Reviews CVs, applications, transcripts against the background report for accuracy and completeness.
• Identifies discrepancies or gaps and liaises with team to verify facts.
• Communicates with recruiters to obtain missing information quickly and tactfully.
• Documents and prepares a thorough report of findings for decision makers.
• Maintains records and monitors status of background checks across offices.
