Job summary

The Children’s Center of Hamden is seeking a Recruiting and Onboarding Coordinator to manage talent acquisition for the agency. You will post jobs, recruit, screen, interview applicants, and coordinate onboarding to ensure all required documents are completed before an offer.

You’ll ensure background checks are completed, coordinate pre-employment steps, maintain awareness of policies, and support a safe, inclusive environment.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• At least 2 years of experience in Talent Acquisition and Recruitment.
• Excellent public speaking, interpersonal and organizational skills.
• Ability to evaluate competence and assess candidate skills.
• Technological fluency with common HR software and platforms.
• HR Certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee talent acquisition for the entire agency.
• Direct internal and external posting of employment opportunities and maintain advertising resources.
• Recruit, screen, and interview applicants for potential employment.
• Conduct individual and group interviews for the agency.
• Execute onboarding to ensure all documents are completed before a hire letter is issued and conduct necessary background checks.
• Coordinate pre-employment steps and maintain job descriptions in collaboration with directors and admins.
