Job summary

The Children\'s Center of Hamden seeks a Recruiting and Onboarding Coordinator to oversee the agency’s talent acquisition, postings, and onboarding processes. You will screen and interview candidates, coordinate pre-employment checks, and ensure new hires complete required documentation.

You will conduct orientations, manage licenses/credentialing, and help update job descriptions with leadership. This role emphasizes compliance, collaboration, and a welcoming onboarding experience.

Qualifications

• At least 2 years of experience in Talent Acquisition and Recruitment.
• Excellent public speaking, interpersonal and organizational skills.
• Ability to evaluate competence and assess candidates' skills for employment.
• Possesses and maintains technological fluency.

Responsibilities

• Oversee talent acquisition for the entire agency.
• Directs the internal & external posting of employment opportunities and maintains advertising resources to recruit applicants.
• Recruit, screen, and interview applicants for potential employment.
• Conduct individual and group interviews for the agency.
• Execute onboarding process ensuring new employees complete all documents before hire letter is issued, including background checks.
• Coordinate pre-employment physicals and related documentation.
• Conduct new employee orientations including review of benefits and updating payroll records.
• Coordinate creation/ revision of job descriptions with Department Directors and Administrators.
• Ensure professional licenses are collected and credentialing completed when needed.
• Update and manage agency social media platforms.
• Maintain technological fluency and keep certifications current.
