Job summary

National Children's Center in Washington, DC is seeking a Talent Acquisition Specialist to own full-cycle recruitment, collaborate with hiring managers, and ensure a positive candidate experience from application through hire.

The role also coordinates new-hire onboarding activities and supports the administrative and logistical aspects of orientation. A strong emphasis on communication, organization, and compliance with employment requirements is essential.

Qualifications

• At least 5 years of recruiting experience; 7+ years preferred.
• Experience recruiting for a nonprofit/association is highly preferred.
• Proven work experience in Talent Acquisition and full lifecycle recruiting.
• Thorough understanding of sourcing strategies and employment regulations (EEO, HIPAA, Right to Work).
• Hands-on experience with ATS and HRIS; ADP experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Partner with hiring managers to identify staffing needs and timelines.
• Coordinate full-cycle recruitment, including screening, interviewing, and offers.
• Develop sustainable recruitment strategies and oversee job postings and advertising.
