Job summary

National Children's Center, Inc. is seeking a Talent Acquisition Specialist to drive full-cycle recruitment, partner with hiring managers, and optimize the candidate experience from posting to hire.

The role coordinates onboarding activities and ensures compliance with employment regulations, with strong emphasis on communication, organization, and relationship-building within a nonprofit setting.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of recruiting experience preferred.
• Experience recruiting for associations/nonprofits is a plus.
• Strong understanding of full lifecycle recruiting methods and best practices.
• Ability to create and implement sourcing strategies for a variety of roles.
• Diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging in sourcing and selection.
• Internal advisory capabilities with professional communication and follow-up.
• Strong interviewing techniques and question design.
• Experience with references and credentials checks.

Responsibilities

• Work with stakeholders and hiring managers to identify hiring needs and timelines.
• Forecast hiring needs and provide staffing insights.
• Develop and maintain a sustainable talent acquisition strategy.
• Create job descriptions and classify positions.
• Screen resumes, conduct interviews, and assess candidate fit.
• Apply behavioral and job-related interview techniques.
• Follow recruiting procedures including offers and onboarding steps.
• Maintain candidate data in ATS and HRIS with accuracy.
• Promote NCC career opportunities at events and colleges.
