Job summary

Dayton Freight Lines is seeking a Recruiter to support Service Centers in recruiting, hiring, training, and onboarding quality candidates. The role requires travel to various centers, job fairs, and events to build a robust candidate pipeline and collaborate with the Recruiting Manager on strategy.

You will source candidates through social media, job boards, referrals, and agencies, review applications, conduct interviews, and manage the interview process in the ATS.

Qualifications

• Detail oriented and organized
• Excellent written and oral communication skills
• Experience conducting interviews and reviewing applications is a plus
• Strong computer skills including Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel
• Ability to multitask and work well in a team
• Previous HR/Recruiting experience is a plus
• Positive attitude and proactive mindset
• Willingness to travel to various Service Centers and events

Responsibilities

• Willingness to travel to various Service Centers, Career Fairs, School or Club presentations, and hiring events
• Collaborate with the Recruiting Manager to align recruiting strategies to meet goals
• Develop and source a strong pipeline of candidates using social media, job boards, LinkedIn, Indeed, employee referrals, search agencies, etc
• Reviewing applications for candidates at various levels
• Recruiting hourly employees and Interns
• Interviewing applicants both in-person and virtually
• Setting up interviews for Hiring Managers
• Following up with candidates during the interview process
• Advancing candidates through the Interview and Hiring Process in applicant tracking system
• Creating Training Schedule for new employees
• Assisting new hires with onboarding and orientation at the Service Center level
• Training new Service Center employees
• Maintaining communication with Service Center leadership on staffing needs
• Other duties as assigned
