Job summary

Dayton Freight Lines is seeking a Recruiter to support Service Centers with recruitment, hiring, training and onboarding of quality candidates. The role requires travel to various Service Centers, career fairs, and events.

You will develop pipelines through social media, job boards, referrals, and agencies, review applications, interview candidates, and coordinate with Hiring Managers. The position offers a fast-paced, team-oriented environment with opportunities for advancement.

• Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel
• Experience conducting interviews and reviewing applications is a plus
• Excellent organizational and time management skills
• Previous HR/Recruiting experience is a plus

Responsibilities

• Willingness to travel to various Service Centers, Career Fairs, School or Club presentations, and hiring events
• Collaborate with the Recruiting Manager to align recruiting strategies to meet goals
• Develop and source a strong pipeline of candidates using a variety of methods including social media, job boards, LinkedIn, Indeed, employee referrals, search agencies, etc
• Reviewing applications for candidates at various levels
• Recruiting hourly employees and Interns
• Interviewing applicants both in-person and virtually
• Setting up interviews for Hiring Managers
• Following up with candidates during the interview process
• Advancing candidates through the Interview and Hiring Process in applicant tracking system
• Creating Training Schedule for new employees
• Assisting new hires withon-boarding and orientation at the Service Center level
• Training new Service Center employees
• Maintaining communication with Service Center leadership on staffing needs
• Other duties as assigned
