Job summary

Dayton Freight Lines is seeking a Recruiter to support Service Centers with recruitment, hiring, training, and onboarding of candidates. The role involves travel to various centers, career fairs, and events, plus partnering with the Recruiting Manager to execute staffing strategies.

You will source and screen candidates for hourly roles and interns, conduct interviews both in person and virtually, and coordinate onboarding at the Service Center level.

Qualifications

• Detail oriented with strong multitasking abilities.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Previous HR/Recruiting experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Travel to Service Centers, job fairs, school or club presentations, and hiring events.
• Collaborate with Recruiting Manager to align strategies and meet goals.
• Develop and source a strong pipeline of candidates via social media, job boards, LinkedIn, Indeed, referrals, and agencies.
• Review applications for candidates at various levels.
• Recruit hourly employees and interns; interview applicants in-person and virtually.
• Set up interviews for Hiring Managers and follow up with candidates.
• Advise onboarding and orientation at the Service Center level; train new employees.
