Job summary

Coastal Horizons Center, Inc. in Wilmington, NC is seeking an HR & Recruiting Coordinator to manage recruiting coordination and HR administration across the employee lifecycle.

The role reports to the Talent Acquisition Partner and HR Specialists, ensuring timely hiring and smooth HR operations. The position focuses evenly on talent acquisition activities and HR support, requiring strong organizational, communication, and confidentiality skills.

Qualifications

• Associate's or Bachelor's degree in HR or related field.
• 0–2 years of HR, recruiting coordination, or administrative support experience.
• HR or Talent Acquisition internship welcomed.
• Basic knowledge of HR practices and employment laws preferred.
• Experience using ATS/HRIS is a plus.
• MS Office proficiency (Outlook/Word/Excel/Teams).

Responsibilities

• Talent Acquisition & Recruiting: post and maintain openings in HRIS/ATS; review applications; coordinate phone screens and interviews; maintain candidate records; communicate with candidates; assist with interns and community outreach; support onboarding.
• Human Resources Support: assist HR Specialists with daily HR administration and HRIS maintenance; prepare offers and coordinate background checks; support onboarding and offboarding; maintain employee files and I-9; respond to routine HR questions; track performance review timelines; assist with engagement initiatives; support unemployment, workers' comp, leave tracking; assist with compliance and policy materials.
