Job summary

NGEN is seeking a Tablet Administrator to maintain computer tablets at Maryland correctional facilities. The role requires reliable transportation, the ability to pass background checks and drug testing, and may involve travel to multiple facilities.

The TA will troubleshoot remotely, manage RMAs, document activities, and coordinate with the Field Service Manager to prioritize critical tasks.

Qualifications

• Must have a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
• Experience with tablets or cell phones is a plus.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to pass a comprehensive background investigation and drug testing.

Responsibilities

• Remotely troubleshoot tablets and open service tickets following RMAs.
• Manage day-to-day tablet maintenance, repairs, and returns for damaged devices.
• Monitor open cases, escalate where needed, and ensure timely closure.
• Document work and repair notes daily in the ticketing system.
• Coordinate the RMA process from pickup to repair or replacement and return.
• Occasionally visit correctional facilities and collaborate with the Field Service Manager.
