Job summary

Special Order Systems, Inc. is seeking a Field Service Technician I for Mule Creek State Prison in Ione, CA. The role travels to facilities to maintain, repair and resolve issues on company products and equipment, providing onsite or roving support and training users on tablets and devices.

The technician will handle setup, troubleshooting, and security measures, with emphasis on reliability, safety, and timely problem resolution in a correctional environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Experience with Windows OS and Microsoft Office.
• Demonstrated ability to work in difficult environments, e.g. corrections.
• Preferred: installation, repair and maintenance of telecom and networking devices.
• Prior experience in law enforcement or correctional environments is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Travel to facilities to maintain and repair company products and equipment.
• Serve as onsite or roving technician with technical and administrative support.
• Set up and maintain tablets and related devices for users.
• Troubleshoot tablets, phones, kiosks, and related equipment.
• Ensure security measures prevent misuse of tablets and systems.
• Assist with software updates and installations on tablets.
