Job summary

Caesars Entertainment is seeking a Games Supervisor to actively supervise live table games, maintain game integrity, and protect assets across the Tahoe properties. The role focuses on guest service, player development, and regulatory compliance in a fast-paced casino environment.

You will lead a team, train dealers, monitor performance, and ensure accurate ratings and documentation while upholding Caesars service standards and the company's AML and safety policies.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent; College Degree preferred.
  • Two or more years dealing experience preferred, with excellent guest service background.
  • Literate and fluent in English
  • Good communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Good interpersonal skills, with emphasis in relationship building
  • Good problem-solving skills
  • Good customer service skills, both internal and external
  • Ability to communicate clearly and tactfully
  • Ability to add accurately and figure payoffs

Responsibilities

  • Actively build and retain customer relations.
  • Hire, train, motivates, evaluates, and supervises assigned personnel; coaches for success and continuing improvement of team member skills.
  • Displays a working knowledge of all table games, house rules, counting methods and procedures covering each.
  • Assures that all coin and check racks are always filled.
  • Settles disputes that arise from guests in the Table Games area, referring those that are very difficult to the Games Manager.
  • Assures guest development by 1) interacting with guests, 2) modeling interactive skills with guests and fellow team members and 3) making comp decisions.
  • Remains alert to any unusual or questionable activities being displayed by any Table Games team member or gaming guest and reports any situations to assigned superior.
  • Observes problems or differences between Table Games team members and gaming guests and provides assistance if necessary.
  • Active Game Supervision
  • Maintain a continuous, visible presence throughout assigned gaming areas, with the primary responsibility of actively supervising live table games.
  • Remain in close proximity to active games whenever operationally possible to observe dealer procedures, payouts, collections, fills, credits, markers, and overall game integrity.
  • Promptly identify and correct procedural errors, overpayments, underpayments, and operational concerns while providing immediate support to dealers and guests.
  • Continuously monitor game pace, dealer performance, guest activity, and operational conditions to ensure efficient, secure, and professional game operations.
  • Guest Service & Guest Development
  • Create a welcoming, engaging, and positive gaming environment by acknowledging guests promptly and maintaining professional interaction throughout their visit.
  • Build meaningful guest relationships through personalized service while demonstrating Caesars Entertainment’s service standards.
  • Resolve guest concerns promptly and professionally while creating memorable gaming experiences.
  • Maintain a positive, approachable, and solution-oriented attitude at all times.
  • Player Ratings & Table Management
  • Accurately establish, maintain, and complete all player ratings in accordance with company procedures.
  • Record accurate player information including buy-ins, chip-ins, chip-outs, average wager, play time, player identification, table transfers, and other required rating information.
  • Adjust player ratings whenever betting patterns or play characteristics change to accurately reflect actual play.
  • Ensure all players, including unknown patrons, are entered into the player tracking system.
  • Open and close tables only when physically opening or closing the game and promptly update table minimums, reserved games, and table status within the casino management system.
  • Complete all gaming documentation accurately and in accordance with company procedures, including fills, credits, markers, counter checks, RIM transactions, player ratings, bet tracking, and all other required records.
  • Exercise exceptional attention to detail when handling gaming transactions and company assets.
  • Verify documentation prior to submission to minimize accounting discrepancies and operational errors.
  • Game Protection & Regulatory Compliance
  • Maintain a thorough working knowledge of all table games, company policies, internal controls, gaming regulations, and departmental procedures.
  • Continuously observe gaming activity for procedural violations, unusual betting activity, possible advantage play, suspicious behavior, and compliance concerns.
  • Promptly communicate significant observations to Surveillance and management when appropriate.
  • Consistently protect the integrity of all games and company assets.
  • Provide continuous coaching and guidance to dealers regarding procedures, game protection, guest service, game pace, and professional standards.
  • Lead by example through professionalism, accountability, integrity, teamwork, and effective communication.
  • Promote a positive and respectful work environment while addressing performance opportunities promptly and constructively.
  • High Limit Operations
  • When assigned to High Limit operations, demonstrate elevated service standards through exceptional attention to detail, accurate ratings and documentation, professional discretion, and personalized guest service.
  • Anticipate guest needs while ensuring all operational procedures and game protection standards are consistently maintained.
  • Professional Floor Presence
  • The primary responsibility of a Games Supervisor is the active supervision of live table games.
  • Supervisors are expected to spend the majority of their shift actively observing and supporting assigned gaming areas.
  • Extended periods away from live games, unnecessary congregation with other team members, or activities that reduce effective supervision are inconsistent with the essential responsibilities of the Games Supervisor position.
  • These operational responsibilities and performance expectations are considered essential functions of the Games Supervisor position and will be used in evaluating overall job performance, coaching, and ongoing performance management.
  • Must be able to stand or walk for long periods of time (4 hours).
  • Visual and auditory range must include immediate environment.
  • Mobility to move about the property
  • Must have the manual dexterity to operate a computer and other necessary office equipment.
  • Must have the ability to push, pull, reach, bend, twist, stoop, and kneel.
  • Positions that have contact with the public require the ability to work in a noisy environment and may be exposed to guests who use tobacco products. Also, non-public contact positions may be required to enter public areas from time to time, in connection with their duties, and may be subject to the same environment.
