Position Title

Table Games Assistant Shift Manager

Location

Monarch Casino Resort Spa, Black Hawk, Colorado

Responsibilities

• Work closely with Table Games Shift Managers to implement and oversee overall strategies for customer service, comping, games layout and mix, revenue growth, and expense management to maximize profitability.
• Constantly review staffing needs and recommend increase or decrease in staffing levels to coincide with business demands.
• Support, administer, and manage operational goals and monitor achievements of performance and profit objectives of the Table Games Department.
• Assist in resolving team member issues and motivate team members to ensure they provide quality service.
• Assist supervisors to ensure that table games operations are managed in accordance with company standards.
• Maintain an active presence on the casino floor at all times.
• Assist in the maintenance and processing of all paperwork, logs, schedules, and communication pertaining to the Table Games department.
• Work hand in hand with other Operational departments to ensure highest standards of service and safety for guests and team members.
• Share responsibility for the overall integrity of daily operations on assigned shift.
• Participate in other related duties, including but not limited to complying with the Colorado Limited Gaming Act, Colorado Gaming Rules and Regulations, Colorado Internal Control Minimum Procedures, Colorado Liquor and Beer Codes, Federal Anti‑Money Laundering requirements, Company policies, and IRS reporting.

Qualifications

• At least 18 years of age and able to obtain and maintain a Colorado Support Gaming License.
• 1 year of previous dealing experience preferred; previous supervisor experience is a plus.
• Skilled in establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with staff and other departments.
• Excellent guest service and communication skills; able to deal with guests.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office.
• Ability to speak and write English; to read and understand written instructions.
• Strong general mathematical skills, including the ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
• Physical ability to stand for the duration of shift and to bend, stoop, and use hands continuously.
• Successfully pass a pre‑employment criminal background check and drug screen.
