Job summary

Job Overview

Monarch Casino Resort Spa is seeking a professional, guest-focused, and results-driven Table Games Shift Manager to oversee daily Table Games operations during assigned shifts. This leadership role is responsible for maintaining an exciting, compliant, and service-oriented gaming environment while supporting operational efficiency, team member performance, and revenue goals. The Table Games Shift Manager provides hands‑on leadership across table games operations, supervises floor leadership and dealers, ensures compliance with Colorado gaming regulations and internal controls, and delivers an exceptional guest experience consistent with Monarch’s standards of excellence. The ideal candidate is a confident casino operations leader with strong knowledge of table games, excellent judgment, and the ability to manage people, guest situations, and business priorities in a fast‑paced resort environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee all Table Games operations during assigned shifts, ensuring games are operated efficiently, professionally, and in compliance with company policies, internal controls, and applicable gaming regulations.
  • Supervise, coach, and support Table Games team members, including supervisors, dealers, and assistant shift leadership, to maintain high standards of performance and guest service.
  • Monitor game activity, table limits, staffing levels, guest volume, and overall floor conditions to ensure smooth and profitable operations.
  • Ensure all table games are conducted accurately, fairly, and in accordance with established procedures, house rules, and regulatory requirements.
  • Promote an exceptional guest experience by engaging with guests, resolving concerns professionally, and supporting a welcoming and energetic casino environment.
  • Partner with Table Games leadership to implement operational strategies that drive revenue, improve service quality, increase market share, and support department goals.
  • Monitor team member performance and provide timely coaching, feedback, recognition, and corrective guidance when appropriate.
  • Assist with scheduling, labor planning, shift assignments, and coverage needs to ensure appropriate staffing levels based on business demand.
  • Review and ensure accuracy of required paperwork, reports, fills, credits, ratings, markers, incident documentation, and other operational records.
  • Maintain awareness of gaming trends, player activity, irregular play, suspicious activity, and potential compliance concerns.
  • Support investigations involving guest disputes, procedural errors, suspicious gaming activity, or team member conduct issues.
  • Ensure compliance with Title 31 requirements, Colorado gaming regulations, company policies, and internal control procedures.
  • Coordinate with Surveillance, Security, Cage, Compliance, Player Development, and other departments as needed to support safe and compliant casino operations.
  • Assist in training and developing team members to improve technical skills, service delivery, regulatory knowledge, and leadership readiness.
  • Maintain a visible leadership presence on the casino floor and model professionalism, integrity, accountability, and excellent guest service.
  • Handle guest and team member issues with discretion, sound judgment, and a calm, solutions-focused approach.
  • Support department initiatives related to operational improvement, profitability, guest satisfaction, and team member engagement.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by Table Games or Casino Operations leadership.
Qualifications
  • Minimum of 3–5 years of progressive Table Games leadership experience in a casino environment.
  • Strong working knowledge of common table games such as Blackjack, Craps, Roulette, Baccarat, Poker-based table games, and other casino games as applicable.
  • Demonstrated ability to supervise casino floor operations and lead teams in a fast-paced, guest-facing environment.
  • Knowledge of casino policies, table games procedures, internal controls, and gaming regulatory requirements.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Colorado Gaming License or other required gaming credentials.
  • Strong guest service, conflict resolution, and communication skills.
  • Ability to make sound decisions quickly while maintaining professionalism and regulatory compliance.
  • Strong mathematical skills, including the ability to calculate payouts, odds, fills, credits, markers, and other table games transactions.
  • Ability to read, understand, and enforce company policies, procedures, and regulatory standards.
  • Proficiency with basic computer systems, casino management systems, player rating systems, and standard office applications.
  • Ability to work flexible schedules, including nights, weekends, holidays, and varying shifts based on business needs.
  • Experience in a high-volume casino, resort, or hospitality‑gaming environment.
  • Strong knowledge of Colorado gaming regulations and Title 31 requirements.
  • Experience coaching, training, and developing Table Games supervisors and dealers.
  • Demonstrated ability to analyze gaming performance, labor utilization, guest trends, and operational opportunities.
  • Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Commitment to confidentiality, integrity, and ethical conduct.
  • Must be able to stand and walk for extended periods during assigned shifts.
  • Must be able to work in a fast-paced casino environment with frequent guest and team member interaction.
  • Must be able to hear and communicate clearly in a casino floor environment.
  • Must have sufficient visual ability to monitor game activity, verify documentation, and observe guest and team member interactions.
  • May be required to bend, reach, lift, or move items as needed in the normal course of casino operations.
  • Must be able to work varied shifts, including evenings, weekends, holidays, and peak business periods.
