Job summary

MYR Group, Inc. is seeking a T&D Associate Estimator I to assist in developing cost estimates for transmission, distribution and substation projects as part of our extensive training program.

The role involves collaborating with customers and suppliers, participating in site visits (travel may be required), and contributing to the estimate review process while building skills in cost analysis and project support.

Qualifications

• Ability to understand, and/or possess basic knowledge of construction drawings, specifications, proposals, and other documentation to prepare time/cost/labor estimates for projects and services.
• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Proficient in Microsoft applications with emphasis on Excel and strong analytical and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Prepare or assist in preparing complete cost estimates for transmission, distribution and substation projects.
• Plan and meet submission deadlines.
• Attend field job walks with customers, subcontractors, and construction personnel to determine constructability requirements.
• Attend on-site pre-bid meetings and perform job site visits (travel may be required).
• Perform or assist in take-offs/evaluations for estimate preparation.
• Solicit vendor pricing and subcontractor proposals and assemble RFQ/RFP documentation.
