Job summary

MYR Group, a leading power line construction company, is seeking a T&D Associate Estimator I for our Utah operations. This role is part of our extensive training program to develop skills in cost estimating for transmission, distribution, and substation projects.

You will prepare estimates, collaborate with field teams and vendors, and participate in the bid process to ensure accurate and timely submissions. On-site duties may require travel and extended hours.

Qualifications

• Understanding of construction drawings, specifications, and proposals to prepare time/cost estimates.
• Experience with cost estimating processes preferred.
• Basic knowledge of transmission and distribution projects preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare or assist in preparing complete cost estimates for transmission, distribution and substation projects.
• Plan and execute work to meet customer submission deadlines.
• Schedule and attend field walks with customers, subcontractors, and construction personnel to determine constructability requirements.
• Attend on-site pre-bid meetings and perform job site visits, including travel.
• Perform or assist in take-offs/evaluations for estimate preparation.
• Solicit material vendor pricing and subcontractor proposals and assemble RFQ/RFP packages.
• Assist in change order preparation and job close-out meetings.
