Job summary

High Country Line Construction, Inc. (a subsidiary of MYR Group) seeks a T&D Associate Estimator I to join our training program and develop skills in cost estimating for transmission, distribution and substations.

The role involves preparing estimates, attending field trips, and supporting the project lifecycle from pre-bid to close-out. The position supports our growing team with organizational and analytical work, including vendor pricing, RFQ/RFP packaging, and collaboration with stakeholders

Qualifications

• Understand, and/or possess basic knowledge of construction drawings and cost estimation concepts.
• Experience reading proposals and documents is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Prepare or assist in preparing cost estimates for transmission, distribution and substation projects.
• Plan and execute work to meet customer submission deadlines.
• Schedule and attend field walks with customers and teams to determine constructability requirements.
• Attend on-site pre-bid meetings and perform site visits; travel may be required.
• Perform take-offs/evaluations for estimate preparation and RFQ/RFP packaging.
