Job summary

High Country Line Construction, Inc., a subsidiary of MYR Group Inc., seeks a T&D Associate Estimator I to develop and refine cost estimates for transmission, distribution and substation projects. You will join a robust training program and collaborate with customers and field teams to ensure accurate, timely bids.

The role involves field visits, pre-bid meetings and take-offs, with travel as needed. Candidates should have basic knowledge of construction docs and strong Excel and analytical

Qualifications

• Basic knowledge of construction drawings, specifications, proposals and other documentation to prepare cost estimates.
• High school diploma or GED is required.

Responsibilities

• Prepare complete cost estimates for transmission, distribution and substation projects.
• Plan and execute work to meet customer submission deadlines.
• Attend field job walks with customer, subcontractor and construction personnel to determine constructability.
• Attend on-site pre-bid meetings and perform job site visits, including travel.
• Perform take-offs/evaluations for estimate preparation.
• Solicit material vendor pricing and subcontractor proposals for RFQ/RFP packages.
• Compare project documents for accuracy and consistency.
• Participate in estimate reviews with stakeholders.
• Assist in tracking cost estimates through the project lifecycle.
• Assist in preparation and submission of change orders.
• Participate in job close-out meetings to finalize estimates.
