Job summary

Great Southwestern Construction, Inc., a subsidiary of MYR Group Inc., is seeking a T&D Estimator I responsible for preparing cost estimates for transmission, distribution and substation projects. The role emphasizes accuracy, vendor coordination, and timely submission of bids.

The position requires estimating experience, electrical knowledge, and strong analytical skills, with potential travel for site visits and pre-bid activities. Excellent communication is essential.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of estimating or relevant construction experience.
• Ability to analyze electrical drawings to prepare accurate estimates.
• Familiarity with electrical materials and installation methods.

Responsibilities

• Prepare cost estimates for transmission, distribution and substation projects.
• Develop complex estimates with minimal errors/omissions.
• Coordinate with vendors and internal teams throughout bidding process.
• Attend pre-bid meetings and field walks as required.
• Prepare billing and change orders per customer requirements.
