Job summary

Great Southwestern Construction in Colorado is seeking a T&D Estimator I to prepare cost estimates for transmission, distribution, and substation electrical construction projects, ensuring competitiveness and profitability. The role requires analyzing drawings, coordinating with vendors, and supporting bids from start to close-out.

Travel to field sites may be required. The successful candidate will work within MS Office and estimating software, aligning with our safety and quality standards.

Qualifications

• Ability to analyze electrical drawings to develop estimates.
• Knowledge of electrical materials and installation methods.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office applications.
• Excellent analytical and organizational skills.
• Strong written and verbal communication.

Responsibilities

• Prepare cost estimates for transmission, distribution and substation projects.
• Develop complex estimates with minimal errors.
• Solicit vendor pricing and prepare RFQ/RFP packages.
• Assist in bid/proposal preparation and reviews.
• Attend pre-bid meetings and field walks as required.
