Job summary

Burns & McDonnell is seeking an Engineering Intern in Phoenix, AZ. You will perform tasks applying standard engineering techniques, assist lead engineers on projects, and support design updates for Transmission & Distribution and other markets.

Minimum requirements include pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related field, ABET accreditation preferred, and strong communication skills. This internship offers exposure to multiple market segments and potential for growth.

Qualifications

• Pursuit of a bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related field from an accredited program.
• ABET accreditation strongly preferred.
• Prior internship or related consulting experience preferred.
• Active campus/community involvement reflected in activities.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist with filing, scanning, data entry, and PowerPoint presentations.
• Assist with responses to general questions.
• Collect and analyze data to support continuous improvement.
• Present solutions to project concerns.
• Research solutions to engineering problems and propose recommendations.
• Support lead engineers with various project duties.
• Maintain 3.0 GPA or higher preferred.
