Job summary

Burns & McDonnell in Atlanta is seeking an Engineering Intern to support Transmission & Distribution projects. You will assist with standard engineering design tasks, data entry and presentation preparation, while gaining exposure to lead engineers and project work across markets.

Ideal candidates are pursuing a Bachelor's in Civil or Structural Engineering with ABET preference, a minimum 3.0 GPA, and active campus involvement; strong communication and analytical skills are required.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering or related field from an accredited program.
• ABET accreditation strongly preferred.
• Prior internship or related consulting experience preferred.
• Active campus or community involvement encouraged.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Demonstrated leadership abilities.

Responsibilities

• Assist with design tasks, filing, scanning, data entry, and documentation.
• Assist lead engineers with project duties and presentations.
• Participate in data collection and analysis for continuous improvement.
• Present solutions to project concerns.
• Research and help resolve engineering problems.
• Maintain compliance with policies and standards.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
