Job summary

MYR Group is seeking skilled T&D Estimators to join our team. The role covers cost estimation for transmission, distribution and substation projects, leading bidding activities and mentoring other estimators.

Qualifications

• Proficient in understanding construction and electrical drawings to accurately formulate an estimate.
• Knowledgeable of electrical materials and methods of installation.
• Proficient in Microsoft applications.
• Excellent analytical and organizational skills.
• Strong communication skills, including verbal and written.
• Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks and changing priorities as necessary.
• Ability to work under time pressure and adapt to changing requirements with a positive attitude.
• Self-motivated, proactive and an effective team player.
• Ability to interact effectively and professionally with all levels of employees, vendors, clients, and others.
• Self-driven with the ability to stay on task for extended periods of time while working independently.

Responsibilities

• Complete cost estimates for assigned projects, with definable work tasks for transmission, distribution and substation projects.
• Develop complex estimates with minor errors/omissions.
• Lead estimate review process with internal and external stakeholders.
• Lead the estimating team and manage bidding activities.
• Attend field job walk with customer, subcontractor, and construction personnel to determine constructability requirements.
• Maintain regular and predictable attendance.
