Job summary

Ohio State University’s Engineering Technology Services seeks a Systems Manager to support faculty, staff, students and labs. You will lead IT computing support, resolve technical issues, deploy images and software, and assist in asset management and audits.

The role emphasizes adherence to ITIL practices, documentation, training, and collaboration with higher-tier technicians to meet SLAs and security requirements.

Qualifications

• Experience providing tier 1 and 2 IT computing support for faculty, staff, students, researchers and computing labs.
• Ability to research technical problems and independently identify, isolate and resolve issues with computing systems.
• Familiarity with imaging and software deployment processes.

Responsibilities

• Provide tier 1 and 2 IT computing support for the College of Engineering computing environment.
• Research and resolve technical problems with computing systems, printers, peripherals, and operating systems.
• Deploy images and software applications; create accounts and manage access.
• Provide training and device orientation to customers and write documentation.
• Manage and monitor computer assets, maintain inventory, and assist in audits and compliance.
