Job summary

The Ohio State University is seeking a Systems Manager to support the College of Engineering's computing environment. This role will provide Tier 1 and 2 IT support for faculty, staff, students, researchers and labs, troubleshoot complex issues, and coordinate with Tier 2/3 technicians to resolve problems.

It also involves deploying images and software, creating accounts, and maintaining asset inventories. Location is Smith Laboratory (0065) in Columbus, OH.

Qualifications

• Experience providing IT computing support (Tier 1 and 2).
• Familiarity with ITIL best practices and SLA management.

Responsibilities

• Provide Tier 1 and Tier 2 IT computing support for faculty, staff, students, researchers and computing labs for the College of Engineering.
• Investigate technical problems, isolate and resolve issues with computing systems, printers, peripherals, operating systems and deployments.
• Deploy images and software applications; create accounts and configure equipment; provide device orientation and documentation.
• Manage computer assets, inventory, and assist with audits and reporting; ensure policy compliance and security.
