Job summary

Collins Aerospace is currently seeking an early career Systems Engineer to join our Graphical Flight Plan Server (FPS) team in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. The engineer will work with a small team of FPS experts supporting fixed and rotary wing platforms across the department.

You will develop designs and requirements for our platforms, create test procedures, and collaborate with agile teammates while communicating progress on stories. This onsite role offers growth in military avionics software.

Qualifications

• Degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) with 2+ years of relevant experience.
• Experience in design, requirements development, and verification of software.
• Experience with Python scripting.

Responsibilities

• Develop designs and requirements for fixed and rotary wing platforms as part of FPS team.
• Create test cases and procedures to verify software implementation.
• Collaborate with agile team members on overall design processes.
• Communicate plans and status on assigned stories to the team.
• Coordinate with program-focused teams to support military customer missions.
• Champion knowledge sharing and mentoring within the department.
