Job summary

RTX, Cedar Rapids, IA, is seeking an early career Systems Engineer to join the Graphical Flight Plan Server team within Military Avionics Flight Management Applications. You will design for fixed and rotary wing platforms, write test cases, and collaborate across an agile team to deliver reliable flight software.

You will build expertise in avionics, Flight Management Systems, and related communication protocols while contributing to critical mission systems for military customers worldwide.

Qualifications

• Requires a STEM degree and 2+ years of relevant software design/verification experience.
• Experience with Python scripting is required.
• Familiarity with avionics displays or Flight Management Systems is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop designs and requirements for fixed and rotary wing platforms as part of the FPS team.
• Create test cases and procedures to verify software implementation.
• Collaborate with agile team members on overall design and status of stories.
• Coordinate with program-focused engineering teams to meet military customer needs.
