Job summary

RTX in Tucson is seeking a Systems Engineer II - Modeling, Simulation & Analysis to join a multi‑disciplinary team delivering high‑fidelity performance simulations for missile systems. You will develop modeling solutions, run trade studies, and guide other engineers through the product lifecycle in an onsite environment.

Candidates should have a STEM degree with 2+ years of experience in C/C++, Python or MATLAB, and experience in modeling physical systems; eligible for Interim Secret clearance

Qualifications

• Degree in Engineering, Science, Physics or Mathematics and 2+ years of relevant experience.
• Experience with object‑oriented C/C++ programming.
• Experience using Python or MATLAB to evaluate data sets.
• Experience modeling, simulating, and/or analyzing physical systems.
• Ability to obtain Interim Secret clearance; U.S. citizenship required for clearance eligibility.

Responsibilities

• Create high-fidelity simulations and models for missile design, performance assessment, and flight test support.
• Develop and implement modeling solutions; conduct trade studies and evaluate system/subsystem performance.
• Work in a team, taking input from supervisors and guiding other team members.
• Collaborate with GNC, Signal Processing, and other performance personnel to perform simulations per program schedule.
• Develop approaches and solutions across product lifecycle from concept to fielded product.
• Provide technical expertise for simulation products and assist senior engineers with detailed plans.
