Job summary

RTX is seeking a Systems Engineer II - Modeling Simulation & Analysis in Tucson, AZ. This onsite role involves developing high-fidelity simulations across multi-disciplinary teams including GNC and Signal Processing.

You will evaluate performance, support new business initiatives, and help drive technology roadmaps throughout the product lifecycle. The position requires a STEM degree and 2+ years of relevant experience, with proficiency in C/C++, Python, MATLAB, and UNIX/Linux.

Qualifications

• Typical requirement: a degree in Engineering, Science, Physics, Mathematics, or a related STEM field.
• Experience with object-oriented C or C++ programming.
• Experience using Python or MATLAB for data evaluation.
• Experience modeling, simulating, and/or analyzing physical systems.
• Ability to obtain Interim Secret clearance; U.S. citizenship is required.

Responsibilities

• Create high-fidelity simulations and models for missile design, performance assessment, and flight test support.
• Develop and implement modeling solutions; conduct trade studies and evaluate system performance.
• Collaborate in a team environment and guide other team members.
• Coordinate with GNC, Signal Processing, and other performance personnel per schedule.
• Work on multiple projects, develop approaches, and provide guidance through the lifecycle.
• Provide technical expertise for simulation products and assist Senior Modeling Engineers; interface with government counterparts.
