Job summary

RTX is seeking a Sr. Systems Engineer - Modeling Simulation & Analysis in Tucson, AZ. The role focuses on building high-fidelity simulations for missile design, performing trade studies, and guiding a multidisciplinary team in a fast-paced environment onsite.

Applicants should have 5+ years of experience, a STEM degree, and proficiency in C/C++ and Python/MATLAB. Interim Secret clearance eligibility is required before start, with potential for higher clearance.

Qualifications

• Requires a degree in Engineering, Science, Physics, Mathematics or related STEM field.
• Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience.
• Experience with object-oriented, C or C++ programming.
• Experience using Python or MATLAB for data evaluation.
• Experience modeling, simulating, and/or analyzing physical systems.

Responsibilities

• Create high-fidelity simulations and models for missile design, performance assessment, and flight test support.
• Develop and implement modeling solutions; conduct trade studies and evaluate system/subsystem performance.
• Collaborate in a team environment; provide guidance to other team members.
• Coordinate with GNC, Signal Processing and other teams to perform simulations per program schedule.
• Develop approaches and solutions across the product lifecycle from concept to fielded product.
• Provide technical expertise for simulation products and assist Senior Modeling Engineers with detailed plans.
