Job summary

RTX seeks a Systems Engineer II in Tucson, AZ to join a multi-disciplinary team focused on high-fidelity performance simulations for missile design and flight testing. You will develop modeling solutions, run trade studies, and collaborate across GNC and signal processing groups to deliver simulation-driven insights.

The role requires a STEM degree, 2+ years in modeling/simulation, and experience in C/C++ and Python or MATLAB. Interim Secret clearance eligibility and U.S.

Qualifications

• Requires degree in Engineering, Science, Physics, Mathematics, or related STEM field with minimum 2 years of experience.
• Experience with object-oriented C or C++ software programming.
• Experience using Python or MATLAB for data evaluation.
• Experience modeling, simulating, and/or analyzing physical systems.
• Ability to obtain Interim Secret clearance; U.S. citizenship required for clearance eligibility.

Responsibilities

• Create high fidelity simulations and models for missile design, performance assessment, and flight test support.
• Develop and implement modeling solutions, and perform trade studies evaluating system performance.
• Collaborate in a team environment, guiding other team members as needed.
• Coordinate with GNC, Signal Processing, and other performance personnel to perform simulations per program schedule.
• Work on multiple projects, develop approaches, and provide guidance through the product lifecycle.
• Provide technical expertise for simulation products and assist senior engineers; interface with government counterparts as needed.
