Job summary

RTX, the world’s leading aerospace and defense company, is seeking a Systems Engineer II - Modeling Simulation & Analysis Engineer for an onsite role in Tucson, AZ. You will develop high-fidelity simulations for missile design, assess performance, and support flight tests within integrated product teams across GNC, signal processing, and other disciplines.

You will collaborate with cross-functional engineers to execute simulation activities, develop modeling solutions, and guide junior team

Qualifications

• Typically requires a degree in Engineering, Science, Physics, Mathematics, or a related STEM degree and a minimum of 2 years of relevant prior experience.
• Experience with object-oriented C or C++ software programming.
• Experience using Python or MATLAB for evaluation of data sets.
• Experience modeling, simulating, and/or analysis of physical systems.
• Ability to obtain an Interim Secret U.S. government issued Security Clearance is required prior to start date; U.S. citizenship is required for security clearance eligibility.

Responsibilities

• Create high fidelity simulations and models for missile design, performance assessment, and flight test support.
• Develop and implement modeling solutions; conduct trade studies and evaluate system performance.
• Collaborate in a multi-disciplinary team and provide guidance to other team members.
• Work with GNC, Signal Processing, and other performance personnel to perform simulation activities on schedule.
• Develop approaches and solutions across the product lifecycle from concept to fielded product.
• Provide technical expertise for simulation products and interact with government counterparts as an authority.
