Job summary

RTX, the world’s leading aerospace and defense company, seeks a Systems Engineer II—Processing, Guidance, & Controls in Tucson, AZ. On-site role requiring DoD secret eligibility for U.S. citizenship, with potential travel.

You will develop and validate guidance, navigation, and control algorithms, create dynamic models and simulations, and analyze test data to drive design improvements across multidisciplinary teams.

Qualifications

• Typically requires a degree in Engineering, Science, Physics, Mathematics, or a related STEM field.
• Minimum of 2 years relevant experience in engineering domains.
• Experience with guidance, navigation, and control (GNC) systems or related modeling/simulation.
• Proficiency with MATLAB, Python, C, C++, or OO design.
• Ability to obtain Interim Secret clearance; U.S. citizenship required.

Responsibilities

• Develop, simulate, and evaluate control and navigation algorithms for complex, autonomous systems.
• Build and use dynamic system models and simulations to evaluate behavior and reduce development cycles.
• Analyze test data to evaluate performance, identify issues, and drive improvements.
• Work cross-functionally with mechanical, electrical, software, systems, and test teams to integrate and validate complex systems.
• Experience developing algorithms, system models, simulation tools, controls, or signal processing for complex products.
