Job summary

RTX is seeking a Sr. Systems Engineer on-site in Tucson, AZ to support Processing, Guidance, & Controls engineering. You will develop, simulate, and evaluate control and navigation algorithms for autonomous systems, applying model-based design and test data to improve performance.

Work with mechanical, electrical, software, and test teams to validate complex systems. Requires engineering degree with 5+ years of experience and eligibility to obtain interim secret clearance.

Qualifications

• Typically requires a degree in Engineering, Science, Physics, Mathematics, or related STEM, and a minimum of 5 years experience.
• Experience in at least one of: Guidance, navigation, and control (GNC); navigation sensors, state estimation, perception; guidance and control algorithms; modeling and simulation; data analysis; real-time software.
• Experience with MATLAB, Python, C, C++, and OO design.

Responsibilities

• Develop, simulate, and evaluate control and navigation algorithms for autonomous systems.
• Build and use dynamic models to evaluate system behavior and reduce development cycles.
• Analyze test data to assess performance and drive improvements.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with mechanical, electrical, software, systems, and test teams.
• Support complex product development with engineering analyses and validation.
