Job summary

RTX seeks a Systems Engineer II for the Processing, Guidance, & Controls Center in Tucson, AZ. The role focuses on developing, simulating, and validating autonomous guidance and control algorithms for advanced aerospace systems.

You will collaborate across mechanical, electrical, software, and test disciplines, contributing to model-based design, verification, and performance analysis to meet mission objectives.

Qualifications

• Requires engineering degree and 2 years of relevant experience.
• Experience with MATLAB, Python, C/C++ and OO design.
• Ability to obtain Interim Secret clearance; U.S. citizenship required.
• On-site role with potential travel for program-related activities.

Responsibilities

• Develop, simulate, and evaluate control and navigation algorithms for autonomous systems.
• Build and use dynamic system models and simulations to evaluate behavior and reduce development cycles.
• Analyze test data to assess performance and drive improvements.
• Collaborate with mechanical, electrical, software, systems, and test teams to integrate complex systems.
• Experience developing algorithms, system models, simulation tools, controls, or performance-analysis solutions for complex products.
