Job summary

RTX is seeking a Principal Systems Engineer - Processing, Guidance, & Controls to join the Tucson, AZ team. You will develop, simulate, and evaluate control and navigation algorithms for autonomous systems, build models and simulations, and analyze test data to drive improvements. Collaboration with cross-functional teams is essential.

The role requires a STEM degree and 8+ years of experience, with the ability to obtain an Interim Secret clearance and U.S. citizenship.

Qualifications

• Degree in Engineering, Science, Physics, Mathematics, or related STEM field.
• Minimum 8 years of relevant experience.
• Experience with GNC or navigation/controls systems a plus.
• Proficiency in MATLAB, Python, C, C++, OO design.

Responsibilities

• Develop, simulate, and evaluate control and navigation algorithms for autonomous systems.
• Build and use dynamic system models and simulations.
• Analyze test data to evaluate performance and drive improvements.
• Work cross-functionally with mechanical, electrical, software, systems, and test teams.
