Job summary

Holmes Murphy & Associates seeks a Systems Administrator II to join the IT team in West Des Moines, Iowa. The role focuses on maintaining and supporting technical infrastructure, hardware, and system software components, including backups and recovery.

You will configure, monitor, and optimize OS and servers, work with Tier 2/3 support, and help create technical documentation. A Bachelor's degree in CS or equivalent is preferred; CCNA is a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent experience preferred.
• CCNA certification a plus.
• 2-4 years' experience with a wide variety of hardware and software systems.

Responsibilities

• Analyze, troubleshoot, and resolve system hardware, software and networking issues.
• Configure, optimize, and monitor operating systems and servers.
• Manage and coordinate tech support tickets and escalation between tiers 2 and 3.
• Perform system maintenance tasks including backups and recovery.
• Administer phone, fax, email, OS, applications and Active Directory.
