Job summary

NextGen Security LLC in Houston, TX is seeking an experienced electronic security installation technician to join our fast-growing and dynamic team.

You will be responsible for physically installing field cabling and equipment, performing system programming, and handling project activation and commissioning. Some travel may be required.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of experience with installing and maintaining electronic access control systems.
• Experience with IP-based video management systems.
• Networking and IT knowledge.
• Ability to safely operate a company vehicle.
• Superior problem solving and communication skills.
• Work independently with minimal supervision.
• Familiarization with local electronic security codes and industry standards.
• Understanding and ability to work safely in a chemical plant environment.
• Experience with Microsoft products such as Outlook, Word, Excel etc.

• Intrusion Detection System Vendor Certifications inSenstar/Optellios, and/or FFT.
• Experience in computer operating systems, networkdesignand implementation.
• TWIC Cardholder.
