Job summary

NextGen Security LLC in Houston, TX is seeking an experienced Senior Service Technician to join our growing team. You will oversee field projects, program systems, activate and commission installations, install field devices, and service high-end integrated security devices.

Some travel and after-hours calls may be required. Ideal candidate has 5+ years installing and maintaining enterprise security systems, strong problem solving, and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

Qualifications

• 5+ years installing and maintaining enterprise-level security systems.
• Experience with access control, IDS, and IP/analog video systems.
• Electrical/technical background with strong problem solving.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Knowledge of local electronic security codes and standards.
• Ability to safely operate a company vehicle.
• Willingness to travel and respond to after-hours service calls.

Responsibilities

We are seeking an experienced electronic securityservicetechnician to join ourfast growingand dynamic team.

Whatyou’llbe doing:

This position will have multiple roles ranging from:project oversight in the field, system programming, project activation and commissioning, installationof field devices, andmost importantly,servicing ofhigh-end integrated security devices. Some travel may be required, along with after-hours service calls.

What you bring to the table:

Minimumof5yearsof experience with installing andmaintaining:

• Enterprise-level access control systems.
• Intrusion detection systems (IDS), both fiber and copper based.
• Enterprise-level video management systems (IP-based and analog).
• Technical/electrical background.
• Superior problem solving and communication skills.
• Work independently with minimal supervision.
• Familiarization with local electronic security codes and industry standards.
• Understanding and ability to work safely in a chemical plant environment.
• Ability to safely operate a company vehicle.

Preferredbut Not Required

• Access ControlSystemVendor Certifications in Software House,Genetec,ProWatch and/or Lenel.
• Video ManagementSystemVendor Certifications inGenetec,OnSSI,MaxPro,and/or Milestone.
• Intrusion Detection System Vendor Certifications inSenstar/Optellios,and/or FFT.
• Networking and IT knowledge.
• TWIC Cardholder.
• Experience incomputer operating systems,networkdesignand implementation.
